Do the BIG before the SMALL
To be honest, I have a bad habit of doing things at the last minute.
So let say... even though I've already prepared my luggage packing 3-day in advanced, I will still repacking it again on the last night. (this is a positive last-minute story). But procrastinating (read: bad in time management) has been my middle name all this life and I've been always trying to get better at it, however I'm still suck at it.
Since college time till today, I'm always doing homework till the last minute and will be getting terrible sleeping hours at the end. And of course, after a while, especially when it comes to work, I really need to get the job done well before the deadline. However the same story repeats... TERRIBLE. I'll get upset on myself and affecting my boss. Loll...

Since I've been starting to work for myself, I feel like I do more but the last-minute story still haunting me. One of the thing that I realized is that my micro-detailing has always been one of the cause, as I will be focusing on the details first instead of looking on the big picture. This weakness of mine has been appointed by my first boss, and I've been trying very very hard to improve it.
Until I went to this workshop last December, where I happened to chat with Dwina from Mau Belajar Apa whom I didn't know that turns out she's a super amazing lady with a big role in the company. It was just a flash activity to ask other people's input on how to solve your problem. And she gave me this oh-so-great-idea-why-i-Duh?-Hello?-never-thought-about-it-before: "Why don't you ..... *wait for it* ..... decide in accomplishing all the tasks for the day and only then you get back to the details again? So let say, today you decide to finish 3 artworks, then your goal is NO MATTER WHAT to finish all 3 first and only then you can touch up on the details."

THEN I WENT BACK HOME, TRIED IT, AND VOILA.... WORKS LIKE ONE OF HERMIONE'S SPELL. #wthAileen #wherehaveyoubeenallthislife #thankGodImetyouDwina
Anyway we'll come back to my last minute story again in another time.
Lesson: There's always a solution to every problem, if you cannot find it your own, go find it from other sources or people.
